City of Pomeroy Releases Lead Service Line Inventory,
Enhancing Transparency and Public Health Protection
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pomeroy, Washington – 12/15/2025 – The City of Pomeroy has completed its lead service line inventory (LSLI) in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule. This rule requires public water systems to conduct inventories of service lines and service line material types in an effort to eliminate the presence of lead in drinking water systems. Service lines are the pipes that connect homes or buildings to the main water line under the street.
The City is proud to announce that after a thorough inspection of 780 service lines, no lead service lines were identified within the city’s water distribution system. Through historical records review, field inspection, and use of statistical method, Pomeroy’s service line inventory was completed in December 2025 and submitted to the state, certifying that Pomeroy’s water infrastructure is free of lead service lines.
The full LSLI is available on the City’s website at www.cityofpomeroy1.com/lsli. It is also available for inspection at City Hall, N. 80 Seventh Street.
