2024 CEMETERY OPENING AND CLOSING (SEXTON) FEES

 

Grave opening and closing fees for calendar 2024 are hereby set as follows:

Infant                                        $214.00                       $399.00

Cremains                                 $214.00                       $399.00

For the year 2018 and each year thereafter, the rate shall increase by the most recent National Average Consumer Price Index – Urban increase for the previous year rounded to the nearest one dollar.

 

RESOLUTION 2011-02 ADOPTING CEMETERY VAULT AND LINER OPTIONS

 

The City Council of the City of Pomeroy does hereby resolve as follows:

 

To offer customers options for full burial services as set forth below:

 

1.  The customer may purchase a vault or liner from a funeral home and is responsible for paying the associated fees of burial including the City’s opening and closing charges.

 

2.  The customer may decide not to purchase a vault or liner at which point the City will collect a $151.00 for interment and $217.00 for settling fees in addition to its opening and closing charges.

 

Additionally, the Clerk’s office will advise future customers that liners and vaults are strongly recommended for use at the Pomeroy City cemetery; however, they are not required.

RESOLUTION 2021-01

Resolution 2021-01 establishes a fee of $30.00 for locating and staking of headstones or monuments in the Pomeroy City Cemetery.

Lot prices for calendar year 2024 are hereby set as follows:

                                        1/8 lot            ¼ lot            ½ lot            ¾ lot            Full lot

For the Year 2024          $544.00         $1,088.00      $2,176.00    $3,264.00     $4,352.00

 

For the year 2024 and each year thereafter, the price for each lot shall increase by the most recent National Average Consumer Price Index – Urban for the previous year rounded to the nearest one dollar.
